Dolphins Cancer Challenge reaches an extraordinary milestone in support of cancer research and patient care, solidifying its position as the NFL’s largest annual fundraising event.
The Miami Dolphins have reached a historic achievement: $100 million raised for cancer research and patient care through the Dolphins Cancer Challenge (DCC), the organization’s signature year-round health initiative and the largest annual fundraising event in the NFL.
The remarkable milestone of $100 million raised since the DCC’s inception was celebrated with a special check presentation on the field during halftime of the Crucial Catch game against Cincinnati.
Miami Dolphins Chairman and Owner Stephen M. Ross and Ross Sports & Entertainment CEO Daniel Sillman took part in the ceremony alongside DCC Board Members, cancer survivors, physicians, and researchers from the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.
More than a celebration of an extraordinary financial milestone, the special moment honored all those whose lives have been directly impacted by the funds raised through the Dolphins Cancer Challenge over the years.
A MISSION THAT TRANSFORMS LIVES
Founded in 2010 in honor of former Dolphins player and broadcaster Jim “Mad Dog” Mandich, the Dolphins Cancer Challenge has grown into a powerful initiative dedicated to supporting those impacted by cancer.
Held throughout the year, the program culminates in a major community event featuring cycling, running, and walking activities at the Miami International Autodrome at Hard Rock Stadium.
One of the most meaningful aspects of the initiative is that 100% of the funds raised support cancer research and patient care at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, part of the University of Miami Health System and the Miller School of Medicine.
THE NEXT CHAPTER
After reaching the historic $100 million milestone, the mission continues.
DCC XVII is set for February 27, 2027, once again bringing together athletes, cancer survivors, families, healthcare professionals, and the community around one shared purpose: raising life-changing funds and advancing the fight against cancer.
$100 million raised. Thousands of lives impacted. One community united by a cause that continues to make a difference.
