Arbor Day Tree Planting at Spanish River Athletic Park
Boca Raton celebrated Arbor Day with its third annual tree planting event at Spanish River Athletic Park. Around 60 community volunteers joined Mayor Scott Singer, Deputy Mayor Fran Nachlas, and Commissioners Yvette Drucker and Marc Wigder to plant 40 native shade trees along the park’s walking and biking trail. The new additions—including gumbo limbo, paradise tree, pond apple, wild mastic, and wild tamarind—bring the total to 120 native trees planted in partnership with Community Greening.
